On the evening of 11th Sep and the morning of 12th Sep, the Australia-China Business Council (ACBC) successfully held its 20th Anniversary Network Dinner and Conference in Canberra. This event gathered political and business elites around the world to discuss the trade relationship and future development opportunities between China and Australia. The event featured notable attendees such as Australia’s Foreign Minister Penny Wong, Leader of the Opposition Peter Dutton, Trade Minister Craig Emerson, and various cabinet members, also the famous entrepreneurs from China and other countries. This highlighted the political and business significance of the gathering for both nations.
During the dinner, ACBC Chair David Olsson AM delivered a speech reflecting on the past decade since the signing of the China-Australia Free Trade Agreement (ChAFTA) and its role in boosting bilateral trade to $325 billion by 2024. “We are at a crucial moment in our relationship with China, and this event offers an opportunity to transform our shared potential into tangible outcomes.”
On 12th Sep, the conference continued discussions about the current status and future opportunities of China-Australia trade, aiming to create more opportunities for collaboration and development between businesses in both countries. As a sponsor of the event, Fenjiu not only provided beverages throughout this event but also introduced our latest cocktails—Rose Dawn and Rising Sun Smash. These cocktails were popular among guests, and entrepreneurs from Australia and China expressed interest in the cultural significance of Fenjiu.
Many Australian entrepreneurs noted that Fenjiu offers not just a new taste experience but also serves as an essential step in understanding Chinese culture. The differences between Chinese and Western drinking cultures reflect the broader cultural distinctions between the two regions. Understanding Chinese drinking culture is the first step toward grasping Chinese culture itself and serves as a gateway for foreign entrepreneurs to enter new markets. As a classic brand that embodies a millennium of Chinese heritage, Fenjiu represents not only the rich historical culture of China but also plays a vital role in connecting Chinese and foreign entrepreneurs with the Chinese market during this event.
Particularly, our classic Qinghua Fenjiu captured the attention of many Australian entrepreneurs during this event. They remarked that compared to the wines they usually have, Qinghua Fenjiu offers a distinctive flavor—intense and rich upon the first taste, leaving a lingering and delightful aftertaste. Many guests provided feedback, stating, “Fenjiu is the key to our entry into the Chinese market, it is not just a high-quality spirit but also a brand that can guide us in understanding the Chinese market and culture.”
As an important part of trade cooperation between China and foreign countries, Fenjiu has got a lot of praise from guests due to its profound cultural heritage and exceptional quality. Many entrepreneurs indicated that Fenjiu would be a crucial partner for their future collaborations in the Chinese market. This was not merely a tasting event for liquor; it served as a platform for in-depth cultural and market exchanges between the two countries, with Fenjiu playing an irreplaceable role.
We look forward to more opportunities for cooperation with the ACBC in the future, believing that as economic ties between China and Australia continue to be strengthen, trade exchanges between our businesses will deepen, fostering mutual support and joint development. The Chinese market remains a key focus for Australian entrepreneurs, and Fenjiu will continue to serve as a bridge for China-Australia culture, promoting deeper collaboration and development in both cultural and business sectors.
